CPM - Program

The designation recognizes high levels of music study/experience in any of the following areas:


  • Performance
  • Research (Musicology) 
  • Teaching practice 
  • Music Industry 
  • Music Education 
  • Music Therapy / EAT
  • ​Arts Administration & Leadership


Note


  • A higher entry designation may also be granted to holders of higher-level qualifications.
  • CPMs: are able to examine their own students and/or become affiliates (conduct Institute programs as part of their own professional practice). 



ACPM ~ First Stage 


  • Granted to applicants based on current skills and experience. 
  • Great for students seeking to make their first steps into a professional career.

Requirements: ​​


  • A verifiable Curriculum Vitae / Résumé.
  • Assessment is based on participation in the GAIN Leadership Program.
  • Designation granted:

A​CPM - Associate member of the Certified Practising Musician Program.



CPM ~ Second Stage

Pre-requisite:


  • ACPM or a high-level certificate/diploma in any area of music study.


Requirements: ​​

  • A written expose in the field of interest in addition to practicum via video.
  • Assessment is based on participation in the GAIN Leadership Program.
  • Designation granted upon attainment: ​

CPM - Fully registered member of the Certified Practising Musician Program.



FCPM ~ Third Stage

Pre-requisite: 


1 year or more as a registered CPM or a bachelor degree in any music area

Requirements: 


  • A reflective paper in the chosen field in addition to practicum via video
  • Assessment is based on participation in the GAIN Leadership Program.
  • ​Designation granted: 

FCPM​ - Fellow of the Certified Practising Musician Program
