The designation recognizes high levels of music study/experience in any of the following areas:
- Performance
- Research (Musicology)
- Teaching practice
- Music Industry
- Music Education
- Music Therapy / EAT
- Arts Administration & Leadership
Note:
- A higher entry designation may also be granted to holders of higher-level qualifications.
- CPMs: are able to examine their own students and/or become affiliates (conduct Institute programs as part of their own professional practice).
ACPM ~ First Stage
- Granted to applicants based on current skills and experience.
- Great for students seeking to make their first steps into a professional career.
Requirements:
- A verifiable Curriculum Vitae / Résumé.
- Assessment is based on participation in the GAIN Leadership Program.
- Designation granted:
ACPM - Associate member of the Certified Practising Musician Program.
CPM ~ Second Stage
Pre-requisite:
- ACPM or a high-level certificate/diploma in any area of music study.
Requirements:
- A written expose in the field of interest in addition to practicum via video.
- Assessment is based on participation in the GAIN Leadership Program.
- Designation granted upon attainment:
CPM - Fully registered member of the Certified Practising Musician Program.
FCPM ~ Third Stage
Pre-requisite:
1 year or more as a registered CPM or a bachelor degree in any music area
Requirements:
- A reflective paper in the chosen field in addition to practicum via video
- Assessment is based on participation in the GAIN Leadership Program.
- Designation granted:
FCPM - Fellow of the Certified Practising Musician Program
