  • Membership includes Insurance cover for professional Music/EAT Therapists.
  • Candidates applying for Music Therapy/EAT need to hold complementary qualifications in Music Therapy, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
  • Candidates need to show the development of an appropriate repertoire for various situations.
  • Demonstrate and discuss a program that seeks to improve a person's health, functioning, and well-being via a therapeutic setting utilizing music interventions as the primary tool via video presentation. E.g., increasing social skills, interaction, and communication (verbal and non-verbal), whilst seeking to develop cognitive awareness, and gain sensory-motor skills, that promote relaxation: 
  • Candidates should be well-acquainted with the Goals of Music Therapy. Music Therapy in Practice, Sound Therapy, Music Therapy Techniques & Applications, and Music Therapy Research
  • Candidates enter at the L.Mus. level; pre-requisite the A.Mus. in performance. 
  •  Any style or genre may be applied to this Series. 


Licentiate in Music Therapy: L.Mus. (Music Therapy)

Pre-requisites: AMus. ACPM, plus 1 - 2 years of study in Music Therapy, Counselling, Psychology, or related fields

Requirements: 15 pieces from your repertoire.

  • Candidates should include performances on other instruments (eg., guitar and voice, keyboard, percussion et al)
  • Candidates may also perform their own compositions or arrangements. 
  • Any style or genre may be applied to this Series.

Master of Music Therapy: MMT 

Pre-requisites: LMus. CPM, plus a bachelor's degree in Music Therapy, Counselling, Psychology, or a related field.

Requirements: 20 pieces from your repertoire.

  • Candidates should include performances on other instruments (eg., guitar and voice, keyboard, percussion et al)
  • Candidates may also perform their own compositions or arrangements. 
  • Any style or genre may be applied to this Series. 
  • Discuss via video presentation how their program assists various client situations including a discussion of:
  • Advanced ​Music Therapy Techniques & Applications.
  • Music Therapy Research.​


Fellowship in Music Therapy - FMII
Fellow - Masters International Institute
 
Pre-requisites: MMT, FCPM. 

Requirements: 25 pieces from your repertoire

  • Candidates may also perform their own compositions or arrangements.

Senior Fellowship in Music Therapy- SFMII

Pre-requisites: FMII, MCD, plus a master's degree in a related field.
